Build Texas

“That day they didn’t have any yellow tape [to mark the danger zone around a rebar drill], and probably tape costs $10. Without the tape, [the worker] didn’t realize he was too close to the machine. He was cleaning his shovel, and the machine turned and hit the guy in the back of the head. When they go to him, he was already dead. They killed him, all because of $10.” Adrian Magallenes, Dallas ironworker
Between 2007 and 2011, 585 construction workers died in Texas, compared to 299 in California.
